My favourite thing about 080 Barcelona Fashion is probably Manuel Bolaño's show. I missed the collection with the bear heads, which I found awesome, but I attended last season's show (it was amazing). I knew this year's collection would be great too. I hadn't seen his room backstage, where they keep the clothes until the show begins, so I didn't know what he had prepared. I like the excitement over what the collection is going to be like. Manuel Bolaño's style is very eclectic and different every season.
The Fall/Winter 2011 collection reminded me of "Jeremiah Johnson", the film by Sidney Pollack. He wears what he hunts. In fact, El Delgado Buil's latest collection on the runway was very Jeremiah too. I didn't like the animals as scarves, but the multiple layering and the asymmetric cuts were a hit.
In the case of Bolaño, he opted for a black collection, accesorized with feathers, animal horns, and classic english hats. Leather jackets, gorilla coats, knit pieces...

Lo que más espero con ganas de la 080 Barcelona Fashion es el desfile de Manuel Bolaño. Me perdí la colección de las cabezas de oso gigantes, que me encantaron, pero pude ir al desfile de la temporada anterior (fue increíble). Sabía que la colección de este año también iba a ser genial. No había visto la ropa en el backstage. así que no sabía lo que nos tenía preparado. Me gusta la sorpresa de no saber cómo va a ser la colección hasta que pisa la pasarela. El estilo de Bolaño es muy personal, pero es ecléctico y diferente cada temporada.
La colección de Otoño/Invierno 2011 me ha recordado a "Las aventuras de Jeremiah Johnson", la película de Sidney Pollack. Se pone lo que caza. De hecho, la última colección de El Delgado Buil sobre la pasarela también era del estilo Jeremiah. No me atrajo mucho lo de los animales como bufanda, pero las capas múltiples y los cortes asimétricos fueron un hit.
