I'm writing this as I listen to Vogue by Madonna. I'm sure these four girls totally understand the meaning. They are the ones who walk on the street with the most original and chic outfits, they wear the latest trends, I mean, they create the latest trends. The shorts and white t-shirts? Blame it on Rumi. The blazers and wide trousers? It's all about Karla. The elegant boho? Say Mireia. The most unexpected combinations? Gala can do it.
As I wanted more clues about their secrets, I interviewed them. They are so nice that they accepted, so here you have it! :)

FASHION TOAST
When did you realize you had become an internet style icon? Hmmm that's quite a lofty title, but I think when I started to get really specific questions from readers asking about things like what my hair dye formula is and what I think they should wear to prom is when I realized it was getting a little crazier.
Where do you find your clothes? Everywhere! I always keep an open mind about stores and am pretty much always on the hunt. I love Forever 21, thrift stores, eBay, Yoox for my shameless addiction to Chloe shoes, and Topshop, of course. Recently in New York I had way too much fun at Opening Ceremony and Resurrection.
Have you regretted wearing something? What? Naah I don't think fashion is fun without random mishaps and experimentation...I wouldn't wear everything now that I've worn ever but I love to find new ways to mix in older items.
How did you feel meeting Alexander Wang, one of your style inspirations? It was amazing! He was so sweet and full of energy, and pretty fun to dance with. Oh and he has gorgeous skin.
Tell us something about you that we still don't know... I'm really good at playing Street Fighter...gotta thank my older brother for that one.

How do you choose what are you wearing in the mornings? I choose the clothes depending on my mood, the last movie I saw, the last runway trends that just came to my head, or the song I’ve been listening all week.
How does your closet look like? Since I live in London, all my clothes are everywhere in the house, my boyfriend and I have a lot of quarrels because of that. He has forbidden me to buy more shoes, he says my clothes take up the 90% of the house, in closets, drawers, wardrobes… I keep the vintage shoes in bags and the rest in boxes that pile up to the ceiling!
What do you exactly study in Central Saint Martins? I finished a year ago. Now I’m in the London College of Fashion de womenswear
Do you think a spanish person interested in fashion can make a living in Spain? Of course, but it’s much more difficult.
What’s the thing you like about fashion? Everything, how hard it is and how confident you must be.
KARLA DERAS
KARLA'S CLOSET
Who takes your photographs? Any anecdotes? Usually my dad takes my pictures. He decides the locations and things like that so shout-out to Mr. Deras!
Has your style changed with the years? If so, how? Definitely. I feel like I've found my style; what makes me feel confident and self-assured. I think before I'd wear things that necessarily weren't me.
What do you want to do when you finish your studies? I want to do a lot of things! I'd like to have my own clothing line as well as a Mexican restaurant with my mom's recipes (because I'm convinced she's the best cook ever). And I also want to pursue my music career; music is definitely my first love.
What do people (not in your blog, in real life) say about your style? A lot of them ask me if my feet ever cramp up from wearing heels everyday. I also remember this girl bluntly stating that "I just dress to impress everyone". I confronted her and said, "You're right, I do dress to impress. To impress myself!" Take that!
Has blogging taught you something? It's taught me how many people across the world are intrigued by fashion just as I am. It's like we all have something in common, even if I don't know them personally.

MY DAILY STYLE
Do you follow trends or do you just follow your instinct? It’s unavoidable not to follow trends, the windows of the shops, the magazines, the blogs, the streets… everything can inspire you, well, at least for me, because of my work I always have my eyes wide opened and I’m like a sponge. Anyway, I don’t consider myself a fashion victim, and I do follow my instinct and adapt the trends to what I have on my closet or what looks better on me.
Where do most of your clothes come from? H&M, Zara and vintage shops, not in that order.
If you were a man, what would you wear? Ouff, I loved the last Burberry collection for men, so, If I could afford it, I would only wear that label during spring 2009. Well, I’d wear also Marc by MJ and something from Dsquared2
What will you never stop wearing? My leather jackets!
What do you do now? Do you work in fashion? If not, would you like to? Where? I’ve known the fashion world from the back, I studied Advertising and PR and I’ve worked for some labels. Anyway, I am lucky to say that blogging has helped me a lot, and now I do what I really like!! I contribute with a showroom, I (asesoro), I’m personal shopper… Moreover, I don’t have a very strict schedule, and taking into account that I’m going to be a mom in four months, that’s the thing I most care about now! Also, I dedicate much time for the ebay shop.
Which is your favourite spanish label? I like many, but, it’s very impressive how far has Zara and the Inditex empire gone, so, just because of that, I choose it!

¿Cuál fue el momento en el que te diste cuenta de que te habías convertido en un icono de estilo de internet? Hmm, eso es una definición un tanto elevada, pero creo que fue cuando me empezaron a hacer preguntas muy específicas, como cuál es mi tinte del pelo o cómo deberían ir vestidas al baile de graduación cuando me di cuenta de que se estaba convirtiendo en una locura.
¿Dónde te compras tu ropa? En todas partes! Siempre tengo la mente abierta en cuanto a tiendas y siempre estoy a la caza. Me encanta Forever21, tiendas económicas, ebay, yoox por mi desvergonzada adicción a los zapatos de Chloé, y Topshop, por supuesto. Hace poco en Nueva York me lo pasé muy bien en Opening Ceremony y Resurrection.
¿Te arrepientes de algo que hayas llevado? Noo… yo pienso que la moda no es divertida sin los pequeños errores o los experimentos… no me volvería a poner algunas cosas que he llevado, pero me gusta buscar nuevas maneras de combinar prendas antiguas.
¿Cómo te sentiste al conocer a Alexander Wang, uno de tus iconos de estilo? Fue increíble! Fue muy dulce, y tenía mucha energía estuvo divertido bailar con él. Ah, y tiene una piel preciosa.
Cuéntanos algo sobre tí que no sepamos… Soy muy buena jugando al Street Fighter… debo darle las gracias a mi hermano por ello…

¿Cómo eliges la ropa por las mañanas? (Sobre la marcha, ya lo tienes pensado, lo primero que encuentres...)Elijo la ropa según mi estado de animo, la película que he visto la noche anterior, la ultima inspiración de pasarela que acaba de entrar en mi cabeza o por la canción que llevo escuchando durante toda la semana.
¿Cómo es tu armario? Desde que vivo en Londres toda mi ropa esta esparcida por toda la casa,mi novio y yo tenemos muchas broncas por este tema. Me ha prohibido comprar mas zapatos y bolsos,y dice que ocupo el 90% del espacio,entre armarios,cajones etc...Los zapatos los apilo en bolsas(los vintage) y los demas en cajas que ya llegan hasta el techo!
¿Qué estudias exactamente en la Central Saint Martins? Ya terminé hace 1 año. Ahora estoy haciendo la especialidad en London College of Fashion de womenswear.
¿Crees que un español interesado por la moda tiene algún futuro quedándose en España? Claro que sí, pero mucho más difícil.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de la moda? Todo, lo duro que es y lo muy claro que tienes que tenerlo para dedicarte a esto.

¿Quién te hace las fotos? ¿Alguna anécdota? Normalmente mi padre me hace las fotos. Él decide el sitio y esas cosas, así que un hurra por el Sr. Deras!
¿Tu estilo ha cambiado con los años? Por supuesto. Siento que he encontrado mi propio estilo, lo que me hace sentir segura de mí misma y con confianza. Creo que antes me ponía ropa que no se identificaba conmigo.
¿Qué quieres hacer cuando acabes tus estudios? Quiero hacer un montón de cosas! Me gustaría tener mi propia línea de ropa y también un restaurante mexicano con las recetas de mi madre (porque estoy convencida de que es la mejor cocinera). También me gustaría seguir con mi carrera musical, la música es mi primer amor.
¿Qué dice la gente (no en internet, sino en la vida real) sobre tu estilo? Mucha gente me pregunta que si los pies no se me estropean de tanto andar con tacones. También recuerdo a una chica que me dijo muy tajantemente que yo vestía para impresionar a todo el mundo. Yo le contesté diciendo: “Sí, lo hago para impresionar. Para impresionarme a mí misma!” ¡Toma ésa!
¿Te ha enseñado algo tener un blog? Me ha enseñado cuánta gente hay en el mundo intrigada por la moda, como yo. Es como si tuviéramos todos algo en común, aunque no les conozca personalmente.

¿Las tendencias afectan a tu estilo o simplemente te guías por tu instinto? Es inevitable que nos afecten a todos aún sin proponérnoslo: los escaparates, las revistas, los blogs, la gente de la calle... todo puede inspirarte, al menos a mí, por mi trabajo, procuro ir siempre con los ojos bien abiertos y ser una esponja! De todos modos, no me considero una fashion victim y sí me guío por mi instinto y adapto las tendencias a lo que ya tengo en el armario o más me va.
¿Cuáles son las tres tiendas de donde procede la mayoría de tu ropa? pues la mayoría de mi armario procede de H&M, Zara y tiendas vintage, aunque no en este orden ;)
Si fueras un chico, ¿qué marcas llevarías? Uff, me encantó la última colección de Burberry Prorsum para chico, así que, si mi bolsillo me lo permitiera, almenos durante la primavera del 2009 sólo usaría esa marca! Bueno, también Marc by MJ y algo de Dsquared2
¿Qué no dejarás de llevar nunca? mis cazadoras de cuero!
¿Qué haces actualmente? ¿Te dedicas a la moda? Si no, ¿te gustaría hacerlo? ¿En qué sector? He conocido el mundo de la moda desde atrás, estudié Publicidad y RRPP y he podido trabajar con algunas marcas. De todos modos, tengo la suerte de poder decir que el blog me ha abierto muchas puertas y ahora mismo hago lo que más me gusta!! Colaboro con un Showroom, asesoro, hago de personal shopper... Además, no tengo un horario demasiado estricto y, teniendo en cuenta que en 4 meses voy a ser mamá, eso es lo que más me importa ahora mismo! Además, lo de la tienda de ebay que me quita bastante tiempo también...
¿Cuál es tu marca española preferida? Pues hay muchas, aunque, qué quieres que te diga, llegar dónde a llegado Zara y el imperio Inditex en general, tiene muchísimo mérito, así que sólo por eso, me quedo con él!
