Victory

Victoria has discovered a new place to sell her image...
Her husband's chest

Paper, Metal and Plastic Labels

As a kid, I used to collect stamps, then I started to collect phone cards, but two years later, they started to sell mobile phones and nobody bought phone cards, so I stopped collecting them.
And when I began to get interested in fashion, and I stopped buying clothes for my Barbies and buying clothes for me, the labels (the little pieces of paper where the price and size is written) caught my eye, because some of them are really original. There were ones made of metal, plastic, silk, well, paper, obviously... and they had beautiful drawings on them: maps, curly flowers...
I had something new to collect! (Well, I had started to collect shopping bags, but they are too big to be kept in the closet). So I would put all the labels in a shoebox, until there were too many and I had to keep them in a boots box.
The labels weren't just from my clothes, my friends and relatives began to put their labels in an envelope, until we met and they gave them to me.
I still collect labels, and I felt I had to share them with you.

Fast Fashion, by SS

If I travel to London I will dress up just for him

Have you noticed that he's looking around all the time? And what about Cathy's crazy hairstyle? The appearance of those who understand fashion is a mistery for me... (Just look at Patricia Field, Suzy Menkes or Milena Canonero)
Although there is a man that mentions Scott's good manners, didn't it was rude of him to start pushing people? (When he says "Trying to work here...")

(mirad a Patricia Field, a Suzy Menkes o a Milena Canonero).
(Cuando dice lo de "Trying to work here...")

Gala

The Muse of Muses

I discovered her fotolog some months ago, and I read all of her entries in just one day, they were so inspiring. I couldn't imagine she was so stylish, I had heard about her but I hadn't actually looked in her site. I love her style because it seems totally effortless, which is hard to find in these days. People say she is the spanish Cory Kennedy (I bet she's tired of hearing that), but I think she is way better than her. Not everyone can manage Cory's trash style, but I think that everybody can find something that suits them in Gala's style. Queen of the wayfarer's, Ibiza lover.
She was born in Spain, she's studying at Central Saint Martins (lucky her, huh) and she is the Creative Director of Linea U of Adolfo Dominguez. Now she is in London.

Show me your showcard

The Fall/Winter 2008 shows are just about to arrive, and one of the things that we usually get to see when everything is being prepared are the Showcards.
Every model agency has his own showcards. The showcards are a series of pictures of the models they are sending to the fashion weeks, usually with the measures and facts about the models. They send them to Casting Directors (yes, like COACD!), so they can decide which models are they going to choose.

Here you have the pictures of the models at the most important agencies. I didn't post all the models, just the main ones.
I love looking at them because it is interesting to know the agencies of some models.

A mí me parecen curiosas.

These are my favourite ones. The illustrations are so beautiful and magical.

I don't like these at all. It is like they made them in a couple of minutes with the first image they found.
Éstas no me gustan nada.

2008 CALENDAR

Today I was feeling creative so I made this 2008 calendar for you. It is very simple, but I chose very beautiful images and a colourful scheme that I hope you will like.

You can just save the images and leave them in your computer, and check the months when you need. But you can also print the images, because it will look great on your wall. You can cut a tiny hole with scissors at the top of all the images (all of them at the same height), and pass a thread through all the holes in the images. Then leave it hanging on the wall.

Doing this has been so much fun. I thought Gemma was going to be amongst the three best ones, and Kate Moss too. Also, I didn't know so many people like Natasha, well, I like her, but I didn't think it was so common. And where is Kate Moss?, and Claudia Schiffer?
Only two readers voted for Agyness Deyn... and there were like 50 votes! It is strange.

PS:
congrats to Coco, Mrs de Winter and Miss J, they guessed the name of the designer who made the first fashion show ever. He was Charles Frederick Worth, born in England in 1825, in 1851 he casted the first models for his show in Paris, at Rue de la Paix.

Lara on the stones, er, rocks

thanks alix

Although Cavalli is the tackiest designer I have ever seen, this ad with Angela Lindvall and Lara Stone by Mert & Marcus is so great. I love it.
The pose, and the deep purple dress are so ethereal that it makes the pic even original. Nothing to do with the Roberto Cavalli ads (Just Cavalli is not the same as Roberto Cavalli, like D&G is not the same as Dolce and Gabbana). I am still wondering how Inez and Vinoodh made those horrible pictures.

Me encanta.

That's HOT!: Steven Meisel's Hollywood

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Probably you already know how much I adore Steven Meisel. If not, I'll tell you: I love his work.
He's the only thing Vogue Paris hasn't got.

I talked about the Wild Warriors, The Rehab, and The Web. It was all about Meisel. And now (well, on 2005) he published in Vogue Italia one of the best editorials I have ever seen.
How can he be so visionaire?

I love this editorial because it wouldn't be an editorial if you want. It is like those weekly glossy magazines full of paparazzi pictures of celebs not looking their best, but in this editorial, instead of being celebs, there are some great models like Julia Stegner, Amber Valletta and Missy Rayder.

It is funny because when I saw this editorial I didn't even recognised who they were, I thought they were real celebs! It is so well done, with all those bright titles and big fonts...

There is a pic which reminds me of an actual celeb... can you see it?

Ya os hablé sobre Wild Warriors, Rehab, y Live on the Web.
