The preppy world by Tommy Hilfiger

As I told you a few posts back, Tommy Hilfiger has set up a extremely cute house in Plaza Felipe II (Madrid) in which they sell a special limited collection of preppy items. If you thought Tommy Hilfiger couldn't be more preppy, well, he can!

I visited the store this morning and I loved everything, from the cricket set to the striped jacket. You'll find fun accesories, such as bracelets made of rope, badminton rackets, magnets, and the official Preppy handbook. And of course, the clothes: lots of shirts, tops, jerseys, several dresses, high heels for sailing (girl sailors have the right to dress elegantly too)...

I spent almost half an hour taking pictures, because there were lots of cute things everywhere. Have a look! If you want to visit the store, you must hurry up, it'll be there until july 3th!

Como ya os conté hace un par de posts, Tommy Hilfiger ha construido una casita ideal en la Plaza de Felipe II (Madrid), en la que está a la venta una colección especial limitada de piezas preppy. Si pensabas que Tommy Hilfiger no podía ser más preppy, bueno, ¡sí que puede!

He visitado la tienda esta mañana y me ha encantado todo, desde el set de cricket hasta la chaqueta de mil rayas. Encontraréis accesorios geniales, como pulseras hechas de cabos, raquetas de badminton, imanes, post-its, y el libro oficial de la guía Preppy. Ah, y por supuesto, la ropa: muchas camisas, tops, sueters, varios vestidos, y tacones aptos para navegar (las chicas marineras también tienen derecho a vestir bien)...

Si queréis ver la tienda, debéis daros prisa, sólo estará hasta el 3 de julio!

Clara Courel wore it at the Yo Dona International Awards, I saw her and I fell in love with the handbag, but I didn't had the chance to photograph it. Fortunately, María León posted a picture of it on her blog! :) Isn't it so cool?

Ana Locking in Wonderland

Ana Locking is one of my favourite designers, and I'm happy to say that her personality is as nice as her designs. I've met her several times in which she has kindly explained her collections to me, every season. It's such a privilege to get to know the details of a collection just right from the designer's mouth.

She's got a neverending imagination and she can express obscurity using bursts of colour, which is a very rare ability. Every collection she has shown is totally different from the previous one, but as soon as the first model enters the runway you can tell that it's been made by Ana. I think that's the key, having an essence and knowing how to interpret it every six months.

Ana Locking es una de mis diseñadoras favoritas, y es un placer decir que su personalidad es tan fantástica como sus diseños. He hablado varias veces con ella, cuando me ha explicado amablemente sus colecciones cada temporada. Es todo un privilegio conocer todos los detalles de una colección directamente del propio diseñador.

Ana tiene una imaginación interminable, puede expresar oscuridad usando estallidos de color, lo que es una habilidad poco común. Cada colección que presenta es diferente de la anterior, pero tan pronto como aparece la primera modelo en la pasarela puedes decir que se trata de un diseño de Ana. Creo que ésa es la clave, tener una esencia y saber reinterpretarla cada seis meses.

She has collaborated with Banco Santander creating the uniforms for the F1 Grand Prix of Germany, England and Italy, that will be worn by the attendants in July.
